JULY 3:

Blu Sushi- Fort Myers

That 70’s Happy Hour Will make its debut Thursday Night July 3 at the‘Eve of Independence Party’ at BluOne on McGregor. This event for 21+ party-goers will be going on from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. Costs range from free- $10. DJ Bigg John sets the mood and spinsit all from Pop to the Rock of the 70’s and the BluStaff will be dressed in 70’s garb to make it even more fun. $5 BluPlate Sushi Sample Platters and specials throughout the night make this the neighborhood ‘Block’ Party the perfect start to the 4th of July weekend.

Miracle Basball Independence Week Fireworks

The Miracle team celebrates the start of the holiday on July 3 with an all-American game of baseball against the Tampa Yankees on the home field at 7:05 p.m. Following the game, a fireworks show for you to enjoy will take place. Miromar Outlets and Germain Arena’s 9th Annual Fireworks Show

After shopping the sidewalk sale that takes place during the day at Miromar Outlets, there will be activities for kids and music as well as the best fireworks in Southwest Fort Myers which begin at dusk. The Mambo Brothers Blues Band performs from 5-7 p.m. followed by Deb & The Dynamics. The Southern Extreme Water-Ski Team performs on the lake from 7-8 p.m, Miromar Outlets, 10801 Corkscrew Road, Estero. 239-948-3766.

Moe’s Firecracker 5K Fourth of July Run

There’s a new sponsor and it’s a new year, but you runners better be making the same old plans for the Fourth. The annual Firecracker 5K turns 30 this Independence Day, with the starting gun set to sound on Friday, July 4, at 7 a.m. in front of the old Pippin’s Restaurant site at 1340 Ninth St. N. The race is presented, as always, by the Gulf Coast Runners, and members of the club can pre-register for $7. Non-members and Independence Day entries cost $10. The age limit for this run is 10+. You can pick up entry forms and race T-shirt at the Naples On the Run store (2128 Ninth St. N.), or sign up by phone by calling 434-9786 or online at www.active.com. You can also register by visiting the Gulf Coast Runners’ official site (www.gcrunner.org) and clicking on the race calendar. The fireworks start with a one-mile “Fun Run” that’s free for children at 6:45. All proceeds benefit the running club’s youth scholarship fund..

Star Spangled Bonita Party in the Park

The free and all ages Bonita Springs' seventh annual “Star Spangled Bonita Party in the Park” will return this year! From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests can enjoy live music, refreshments, a pie contest and children's games and activities at Community Hall off of Old US 41 Road (27381 Old US 41). To recognize the annual Parade’s 50th Golden Anniversary, the City of Bonita Springs has included a 1950’s theme and music for the event taking place in Riverside Park immediately following the parade. The popular pie baking and hot dog eating contests will take place, as well as exciting activities for children including a waterslide, potato sack races, relay races and much more. English Pub Fourth of July Celebration

All you 21+ people come out and join the English Pub in Naples (2408 Linwood Ave) for their Fourth of July Celebration starting at 8 p.m.. There will be drink specials, prizes for the best Patriotic Costume and dancing with D.J. Danny. The cost is free so put on your drinking hats and come celebrate!

4th of July Dinner Dance Cruise Special

Naples Pier Fireworks

4th of July Fireworks start around 9 p.m. and will last until about 9:30 p.m. Bring a chair or a blanket and relax at the Naples Municipal Pier located on 12th Avenue South, Naples. You can’t miss the classic firework show, so find your spot early! For more information 239-213-7120.

You can’t celebrate the 4th of July without the usual parade! The festivities start at 10 a.m. and will end around noon. The location for the parade is just in downtown Naples, for any more information 239-213-7120.

American Liberty Express Train Ride

Come out and enjoy a train ride through the Train Village to celebrate our nation’s birthday! The only restrictions are infants younger than one year and pregnant women due to safety issues. Hours for the rides are 10 a.m.-1:45 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Saturday and noon-3:45 p.m. on Sunday so the Fourth of July festivities are all weekend long and you can catch a ride if you miss out on Friday. Prices are $5 for ages 6 and older and $2 for ages 1-5. The location is at the Lakes Regional Park on 7330 Gladiolus Drive in south Fort Myers. For more information contact 239-267-1905.

Harley Davidson Fourth of July Old-Fashioned Celebration

Come out to the Harley Davidson location on 2160 Colonial Blvd in Fort Myers where they will be celebrating in style. There will be a barbecue, apple pie and ice cream, a bike wash and biker games, including a ‘Sink Uncle Sam’ dunk tan. Prizes will be awarded to the most outrageous red, white and blue costume so put on your best outfits! All the proceeds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association so you can have fun while helping out people in need! Fourth of July Naples Zoo Celebration

Come out with our furry friends and celebrate with them all weekend from Friday through Monday as the animals at Naples Zoo get to play with decorated red, white and blue fireworks that are actually giant cardboard tubes stuffed with yummy treats!

Costs will be discounted for adults and children in their party where you can receive $2 off regular Zoo admission which is usually $18.75 for ages 13 and older and $10.50 for children 3-12. These fun festivities take place at the Naples Zoo which is located at the Caribbean Gardens at 1590 Goodlette-Frank Road. So this Fourth of July go red, white and ZOO! 239-262-5409.

San Carlos Park 18th Annual Old-Fashioned 4th of July Parade and Celebration

This year the parade begins at 8:30 a.m. starting in the Ace Hardware Sunshine Shopping Plaza. After the parade a celebration will follow beginning at 9:30 a.m. and lasting until 1 p.m. The celebration includes live music by Catalyst, carnival games, horseback rides, plenty of food vendors, giant slip and slide and a bounce house! Riverfest

Come out and join in on the Fourth of July celebration on the riverside at Centennial Park. This celebration will host plenty of activities for the whole family! Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. that include live music, food and beverage booths along with plenty of activities for children. A beautiful firework display will light up the river starting at 9:15 p.m. Admission is free but don’t forget to get there early for a close parking spot and the best seat in the park! 239-332-6813
