Description: King's Restaurant in the King's Lake Square plaza is a pleasant family-owned restaurant that sports a clean and simple décor. One catch of the day is the a deep-fried Guiness beer-battered grouper filet with French fries and cole slaw ($6.50) and a "small" house salad ($3.50) to add some balance. King's has an Irish theme to it, so don't miss the O'Roark, a concoction of hot corned beef, grilled sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing on rye bread ($7) that looks suspiciously like a reuben. Skip the chips and add fries for a $1.

The Pros:
We read this review and tried the food. We got the O'Roark and it was very good and full- filling. The overall prices are reasonable.
The Cons:
We initially sat inside, but the dank smell of old cigarette smoke reeking out of the entire dining area drove us outside to sit.[I am an ex smoker]. We could still smell the smoke coming from the pub side, but the breeze kept it to a minimum.
We will go back and try the beer battered fish on the Friday special, but will definitely sit outside.
