Description: Serving up steaming bowls of authentic pho — the beef noodle soup that some call Vietnam's answer to fast food — as well as shrimp wrapped sugar cane, preserved longan fruit, rice vermicelli with char-grilled pork and about two dozen other goodies that have heretofore been hard to find in this part of the world, Miss Saigon's menu is on the diminutive side, but so are the prices, and the quality is excellent. This is a primarily carry out establishment, with three bamboo tables that make up the "dining room." In addition to the soup, don't pass up the rice vermicelli with grilled pork medallions, a flavorful dish served with chopped peanuts, cucumber, lettuce, bean sprouts, basil leaves and fish sauce. Several items should appeal to people who are skittish about trying unfamiliar food. Possibilities consist of egg or spring rolls, shrimp fried rice or perhaps a skewer of char-grilled pork.
