Bio: Gina Edwards joined the Naples Daily News as a reporter in 1996 and has covered Naples City Hall, Collier County government, and weird and sundry financial crime. Edwards graduated with distinction with a degree in government and politics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., where she served as editor of the student-run newspaper, Broadside. During her tenure at the Daily News, Edwards received state and national awards, including Investigative Reporters and Editors award for investigative reporting at a small newspaper. Gina and her husband, Mike, have two children, ages 4 and 2.5, and a German Shepherd named Mason. She likes playing charades with her kids, bargain hunting at garage sales, and fixing up her over-priced house. She is currently a correspondent and freelance editor for the Daily News.
